In a time where mankind is confronted with the imperfections of capitalism, more people question the current systems and are seeking for alternatives. This realisation manifests itself into a return to the natural world, the sole place we still consider as substantial and reliable.
In the series Symbiosis, Maria Bodil and Post Neon explored the reevaluated belief in nature by returning to the roots of our existence; the fungal network. This higher power thrives underground, uniting all living organisms.
We envisioned an ‘alternative reality’ in which nature and technology co-exist in harmony, nourishing each other in a sacred balancing act. As godly figures flourish out of the surrealistic landscape, we can question ourselves: Could technology and nature ever exist in a state of symbiosis?
